Geoff Boycott Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 The Blonde Bombshell's attempt to "bang the drum" for businesses in London, is it a good idea? How is his visit going down? Do people in India even know he's there? Be interested in feedback....

Utalk Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Who is Boris Johnson? Mayor of London. An eccentric character.
Nova Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Yeah I could have googled too, but my point was I have not heard of him and neither the majority of Indians. He has not made any news, yet, in the Indian media... :headshake:

He is also being touted as the replacement for Cameron in the Tory party which seemed ridiculous about a year ago. Stranger things have happened in politics so, watch out for him. This is him trying to gain some international exposure. Many of my friends are embarrassed at the mere mention of him touring other countries :haha: (They havent seen our buffoons)

Didn't you see him swing that flag? :haha: My gut feeling is that only a small percentage of Indians would know who he is, and even less that he was visiting. As for encouraging India to "Buy British" - fat chance.
Clarke Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Unlikely many would know of him visiting India, he's just a mayor (yea, world's financial capital, but still a mayor) after all. Heard of him before in one of Jeremy's rants, although nowhere as frequently as that leftie Livingston. Not sure what he can do, the likes of Blair & Cameron tried their part on the lucrative defence market.
