Pakistan Premier League

Hi guys, I am new here from pakistan. Since 2009 no international team visited pakistan. However World 11 and british army cricket teams visited pakistan and they are fully satisfied about security. Now pakistan is launching pakistan premier league in march 2013. I hope it will help pakistan to bring international cricket back. What you think about this move of pcb?

i dont think its a good move. They already have something called FBT20 which is good enough. Dont expect PPL to be a hit, because most international cricket stars will be unwilling to come-over to Pakistan for a short league like this. Also, money will be an issue regarding this league and the players will not be offered good contracts so they may not be willing to come over.

Righty ho, you're telling me that Pakistan is safe because some British army team went their and played safetly along with a world XI. 1) World XI are not worthy targets...none of them are still active. 2) British army were safe because...they were the British army. Are all touring cricket teams to Pakistan from now going to bring with them missile drones, Eurofighter typhoons and Challenger tanks? I can just imagine the Indian team bus, with Dhoni sitting at the front carrying a M249 Machine gun, the bus flanked by four tanks as five F16's pass overhead.

finding the right sponcers will help but for that you need foreign players to be ready to come there. yes the retired players toured ur country were safe but it might just be the master game played by the terrorists in order to make the leading players and teams to travel there so that they can attack them

I am sick of these stupid leagues. There is not enough room in international calendar let alone 6/7. Test cricket will suffer as a result and that's bad news.

They should rename it the PML - Pak Match-Fixers League cuz you know there will be all sorts of that crap going on ... well maybe if they make enough money domestically they wont need to fix international matches anymore :two_thumbs_up:

It is FBt20 means Faysal bank t20 a joint venture of faysal bank and pcb. That is nation wide only. But ppl is for players of all countries.
