Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 What great batting under pressure! Balls of steel! Now he should be allowed to Captain Team India in all format's upto 2015 ODI WC and then retire gracefully from Cricket.
Sachin=GOD Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I don't know about next 2 years but I do know that this innings is enough to save his Kaptaani for the next series..
BERGKAMP Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 What great batting under pressure! Balls of steel! Now he should be allowed to Captain Team India in all format's upto 2015 ODI WC and then retire gracefully from Cricket. this is my fear
saneindian Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 May not be enough to save his captaincy and rightly so.
indiefan Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I don't know about next 2 years but I do know that this innings is enough to save his Kaptaani for the next series.. Agree
R.D forever Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 What great batting under pressure! Balls of steel! Now he should be allowed to Captain Team India in all format's upto 2015 ODI WC and then retire gracefully from Cricket. The problem is he ll feel his balls of steel only when his ass is on fire :giggle:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 May not be enough to save his captaincy and rightly so. Oh, it definitely will be enough. There is no way he's going to be sacked from the Captaincy after this innings :(
Lord Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 May not be enough to save his captaincy and rightly so. will be enough
Sachin=GOD Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 This is the best time for him to gracefully step down as Captain................but he most certainly won't do it.
pensionplan Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 What an unforgiving game cricket can be. Run-out on 99 by an inch after all the hardwork. WOW. Nevertheless congrats to MSD on a fine knock. A VVS/RD type of knock when the chips are down to bail the team out.
King Tendulkar Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Thats the scary stuff. Loved what he did today and really wanted a ton and more from him. Really top stuff today. But this must not alter the selectors views of what has happened in tests for us over last 2 years
The Realist Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 The run-out sums up the second half of Dhoni's test captaincy. Before he could do no wrong, now in the past 2 years everything he does is wrong. Exhausted his shelf life as captain, need a new leader with fresh ideas.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 He has cemented his place as batsman/wk (he IS the best we have) but as captain its time to consider Kohli/Gambhir, neither have been in form in tests so its a difficult decision to get rid of MS. Maybe him continuing in short format as suggested would be better
King Tendulkar Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 He has cemented his place as batsman/wk (he IS the best we have) but as captain its time to consider Kohli/Gambhir' date= neither have been in form in tests so its a difficult decision to get rid of MS. Maybe him continuing in short format as suggested would be better On low boucing wickets maybe. But on wickets with spunk in them he is defo not, walking wicket when bounce or movement. His keeping also can be very poor, particulary when not that bothered. And as a keepr you need to be up for it every second or the wheels come of. Maybe if place up for grabs his focus on keeping may improve and he gives 100%. As sometimes when keeping he does not give 100%. The keeper sets the tone in the field and if captain/keepr is not giving 100% the virus soon spreads through the team, which has happend a lot in last 2 years in particular
