How is that pose showing off masculinity? Is he twirling a moustache or beating his thighs? akshaykumar.jpg More than about Swami Vivekananda, I find it offensive that he connections nationalism and freedom struggle to rise of masculinity. What should they have done? bend over to colonialism and wear bangles instead?

Pretty sad comparison and a part of how Indian society views male - female stereotype even in this age. What has masculinty to do with freedom struggle? Ever heard of Rani of Jhansi? She used to go into battle with an infant son strapped to his back. Lets see any man do that

Yes. Dipa Sahi has been trying to make a movie on her for years and nobody ready to back her up. On the other hand the movie about Southern sexy siren featuring Vidya Balan got all the money it needed :giggle: Ye bhi sach hai MTC saab

Did u hear the news? Two of Indian army men were beheaded by pakis. Now imagine, what would have happened if they were women?

AGreed. Wrong choice of words on my part. You know what I meant by using that phrase, the stereotype of meek surrender. As per some, the Indian fashion of wearing bangles comes from an association to bangles worn by slaves and it should be rejected by women.
