saneindian Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 The ODI slide in a sense began when Sachin cameback to the side in Australia..we had won in WI 3-1, lost in Eng 0-3, won vs Eng 5-0 and vs WI 4-1..post that lost in CB series and in Asia cup..not sure if him being there would have made much of a difference especially with his current form.

Dinda is not the answer to our bowling woes and I would rather have Irfan who will go for same amount of runs but at least can bat. Shami needs to be given a longer run and hope Varun Aaron recovers soon.

We no longer have anyone like that and this will remain for many yrs to come.

Kohli looks to be struggling due to off field distractions like the talk of captaincy. Watch him on the field, keeps missing easy pick ups these days. Needs to get his focus back.

NareshK Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I dont know why Ashwin plays those stupid, cheeky shots in ODIs. He is good enough batsman to score runs by playing normal shots like he does in tests. Even if he doesnt get boundaries, if he just tries to take a single every ball and defends good deliveries, that's enough as a tailender. But he has to play those 'make room by moving away from stumps' shots or paddle shots too often and gets out cheaply.
