I actually viewed the comments a couple of weeks ago where he said that Kirsten always saw him as an opener as a positive. More responsibility might be a good thing for him. Didnt he captain the team in Zimbabwe? yes n we all matches including Zimbabwe:haha:

Being emotional is just about fist-pumping, swearing at your opponent, cursing at your lost wicket, puffing out your chest, crying after a loss, etc ... That's not aggression. Aggression is about that intense focus where you do not give the opposition team even the slightest chance of winning. You're meticulous in preparation and training, and then subsequently in execution in the match. So for all those people comparing Kohli to Ponting, what made Ponting aggressive was not the way he carried on on-field but the way he prepared for matches and the way he sensed opportunities to take control of a match and drive that home. You can be as quiet as a mouse on the field but aggressive in mindset. Michael Hussey to me was one of the most aggressive cricketers to play the game, yet never said a word to an opposition player.

We will have to go probably the South Africa way of giving resposnibility to someone who has great potential as a captain, but I don't see that with anyone. The guys will have to establish themselves in the team first and stand as an example rather than a liability. As an example, Dhoni is still in the test team cos of his captaincy only. As we know, once an Indian captain is chosen he gets a very long rope even if he is not performing as a player. In current team we cannot risk giving to someone cos no one gives the confidence that they will be able to perform consistently well to be able to gain the confidence of team. I can only see someone like a Pujara establishing himself in the team and then we give him captaincy after an year or two. Till then I suppose Dhoni can lead the side, we have no other choice.

Agreed. Also, add Kumble and Ambrose to the list. They were also the quitest but the most reletnless(though Kumble did let out with a few abuses at times)

Aggression in his batting, fielding and bowling is quite evident. It's quite dumb to compare Raina's average with Kohli's average. Raina bats way lower down the order and knows how to handle the pressure. Raina has saved India's butt more times than Kohli can count with his hands. Also to add, Raina is a 10x better bowler than Kohli. Fielding wise I think both are at par.

He won't lose more matches than Dhoni has recently. Fark, this reminds me of the field placement Dhoni sets up sometimes :wall:
