Who does the "we" stand for? My point is that the genesis of all such thing is a deep-rooted hatred for some other country/religion/race, etc. And there is no denying that some people here do have a deep rooted hate for Pakistan and Islam Now hate can be turned to so many things, even for a good thing. For example, some of the good economic progress Japan made was becuase they wanted to show the US how they could recover from the nuclear bombs and this has been ingrained deeply into each Japanese's psyche. So hard work and progress is something that comes naturally to them On the other hand, with the right circumstances such hatred can be turned into something worse. You just need some fundoos brainwashing people already having hate in their heart which is the genisis of such activities. The biggest solution is to remove the hate, not just removing the camps

Now what's the root cause of this hatred ? Is it the hindu terror ideology or the peaceful neighbors infiltrating in our territory, killing Indian soldiers on the border and civilians in our cities ? The padosi comes and blatantly lies about his countrymen not having negativity about India and you have to bring in the ideas of forum members having a certain mindset as an excuse, almost as if you're defending him. You live in some alternate world. Time and again we as a bigger/powerful nation have shown restraint and not taught them a lesson after 1971. They continue their mischief, the anti-India groups operate with impunity. Their school textbooks contain hateful ideology, not ours. The problem lies there, not here. You will always have some people hating on others, you cannot cleanse everyone's mind. What you can do is actions that speak out for your intentions. Can the anti-India actions be stopped to pave the way for better relations is what you should expect before starting to love them.

You seem to imply that the cause of the hatred matters in how the hatred turns out to be. It does not. No matter how genuine the reason for the hatred, hate is still a very powerful and very negative emotion. And as long as that particular poster did not do anything wrong personally to me or my country, I will continue to respect him. I cannot have a balnket hatred for a country, its religion or its citizens You live in some alternate world. Yes, India has always done the right thing, because saner heads have prevailed and the majority of our country are sensible. But I sense a lot of under-current of hostility and hate. Till the time India is progressing, economy is doing ok, things will be fine. But if we have problems in the country, if unemployment increases, then this hate can be used by a lot of elements to cause negative reactions The opposite of hate doesnt have to be love. We just need to learn to tolerate. And remind ourselves that an entire country, or all its citizens or an entire religion is not responsible for the actions of a few. And most of all, what India needs most as a country is peace and quiet for economic progress. Getting into a war with Pakistan, even a limited one, would be playing into the hands of the hostile elements

We've got to accept that we have to be careful in generalizing. At the same time, I understand where Clarke and other posters come from. Sometimes it's OK to vent out I guess.
