However, even if there is some debate (legitimately) about his relative position in greatness in test cricket, there is absolutely no doubt in mind about his position in ODI. He is at the very top. The best ODI batsman of all time. :hatsoff: He has done it all. Longevity, records, big knocks contributing to Indian win, there was a time when he was feared, great knocks which almost lead to Indian wins and even losses (but because others did not come through). And he has proved all around the world and in World Cups. First there is SRT, then daylight and then everyone else. Too bad he did not retire right after the WC win. But better late than never.

Plus Indian performances in test kirkut have dampened my spirits. Coupled with SRT's poor form and the retirement of RD and VVS.
