Because we go back to same filth over and over again .Also some idiots expect him to perform like he did a decade ago.

Pitches have changed a lot in FC. Most spinners are not doing a great deal in domestic games. There are some who stood out but too big a gamble to play them in a big test series because of their inexperience. They should first have a go in ODIs. Bhajji is bowling decently now. He has reduced his pace to around 85 kph, whereas he previously used to bowl 90-92 kph because he used to bowl flat which was a result of playing too much T20. Now he is flighting the ball a lot more and when he does that, he becomes a lot more dangerous as he will get more turn and bounce. Once he gets the line and length consistent, he will get wickets. Irani trophy game was played on a flat track, especially the first 3 days. There was virtually nothing on offer for spinners.

It's clearly not based on any domestic form but I imagine they picked Harbhajan for the following reasons: 1) No standout off-spinner in the domestic tournament 2) Good record against Australia (particularly in India) 3) He can be a genuine turner of the ball when he bowls attackingly (the problem is he slips into defensive mode too quickly) 4) Without Zaheer Khan, we lack an experienced bowler who can lift the team when he gets fired up. I hope that India play Harbhajan over Ashwin. Ashwin is a credible option at No.7 to fill the all-rounder spot but out of the 2, I'd pick Harbhajan as the better off-spinner and hope that Australia get into some verbal confrontation with him and fire him up.

add one more reason there for an offie .. 6 or 7 left handed batsmen in the Aussie team

He is still better than Fatwin' date=' who can't get any wicket nowdays.[/quote'] He is busy playing the tamasaha league... when he should have been practising & playing 4 day matches. Ashwin Ravichandran ‏@ashwinravi99 In Indore for the Corporate Trophy final tomorrow.

He is only good for T20 and Chennai Super Kings. I'm being dead serious and not sarcastic.

I think Harbhajan has performed well against Australians, his record is also against this team. May be he can perform well against Australians and get back his form
