When you've taught a bunch of high school grads stuck in summer school and have 2 kids under the age of 12, patience is a necessary survival skill. [b']Time is the one I don't have. I work in the mining industry, so it all depends on how much bandwidth we can reserve off of satellite transmitters and this is a new site that I am yet to visit. At worst it will be several months before I am back, at best I will probably be around once every few days.

I gave him numerous opportunities to quantify his reasoning with concrete examples but he kept avoiding the question and kept spewing more nonsense. It culminated in him dragging my mother into the discussion.

And they can always shed their tails to run away. I just don't see the point in bringing moms and dads and children into the picture. There is pretty much one golden rule of online discussions that I adhere to: don't bring in relations. It gets you assaulted/killed in real life with high frequency, so its just cowardice to hide behind the keyboard and do so.

If you care about winning/losing a discussion, try not to think of it in terms of what you and your opposition are saying to each other, try to think of it in terms of 'if an observer opened this thread, who would he/she think made the better, cogent points' ? You called me a motherfecker, I waited a few hours for you to come back to your senses and retract the comment, and then let you have it in the language you understand when you did not feel the need to talks it back even when one poster asked you to cut out the abuse on other posters. And now you are running around in other threads trying to rake up the episode again. Yeah.
