Probably there is nothing in worls where lack of intelligence can be compensated with extra hardwork. Intelligence can provide you a bit start on others but then it's about perseverance. As a kid I used to think that Chess is about intelligence, but fact is that it's more about memorizing different moves. Similarly Rubik cube thing.

At least to solve it under 2 minutes. Not everyone is blessed with good spatial ability. I remember as a sutdent, there were some otherwise brilliant students in my class who used to struggle in Engineering Drawing due to poor spatial ability.
