1983-2011
Another Ganguly in the making or Punter will be able to adapt better? Atleast half of the games would be in Mumbai so if he opens, he'll get to face pace compared to the slowish tracks of Kolkata. One thing is certain though. Aussies are treated royally in the IPL i.e sheer number of Aussie players, Aussie Captains, Aussie coaches and supporting staff. aussie coaches are colluding with domestic and fringe australian players to push their names in the auction list, the owners dont know sh1t so they go along with what the coach says and keep bidding Link to comment

kubrickian
If PWI shifts city' date= I am not supporting them anymore. Let them rename themselves 'Kanpur Kachras'. :beee: I'll support either CSK or Pwnjab Kitties this season. :two_thumbs_up: PWI may actually end up winning IPL in that case. :P Link to comment
carnish
Sachin is good as a player itself. He knows his limitations and whats best for him and hence I wouldnot be surprised if it was his own decision or suggestion. Link to comment

Crookbond
Wasim Akram steps down as KKR bowling coach http://www.wisdenindia.com/cricket-news/wasim-akram-steps-down-kkr-bowling-coach/52327 Wasim Akram, the former Pakistan captain, has stepped down from his role as the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to spend more time with his family ahead of the sixth season of the Indian Premier League. Akram has been part of the support staff with KKR for the past three seasons, and played an important role in the franchiseÃÔ title triumph in IPL 2012. Trevor Penney, the current Indian fielding coach, will take up the same role with KKR, joining the support staff under Trevor Bayliss, the head coach. The other support staff, consisting of Vijay Dahiya, the former India wicketkeeper who is the assistant coach, Andrew Leipus, the physiotherapist, and Adrian Le Roux, the strength trainer, remain in place alongside Bayliss. In a statement on the franchiseÃÔ website, Venky Mysore, the chief executive, said Akram would be ÅÃadly missed while holding out hope that the left-arm seamer could rejoin KKR later. Mysore also expressed his delight at PenneyÃÔ appointment. Ÿasim Akram will be badly missed, said Mysore. Å©e is a legend and a great motivator to have around the team. However, we fully appreciate the reasons why he will be unavailable. We hope this break will give him the much needed time to be with his family. We hope to work with him in the future. Ÿe are also delighted that Trevor Penney will join the excellent support staff of KKR comprising of head coach Trevor Bayliss, assistant coach Vijay Dahiya, Physio Andrew Leipus, strength trainer Adrian Le Roux and analyst AR Srikkanth. Trevor Penney is a fine professional and will no doubt add to the depth of the team. KKR will play in the opening match of IPL 2013, taking on Delhi Daredevils on April 3, 2013 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, their home ground. Link to comment
