Magneto Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Dinda ' date=' Nehra and Bhuvaneshwar all 3 Ganguly's favts.[/quote'] I don't think Ganguly will play any role with the team anymore. But Pune will surely open with Dinda and Bhuvi. Pandey is an unproven commodity anyway in this format, and he'll suffer the same fate as Shami had suffered last match. The only positive side is that Pandey may play a couple of matches, unlike Shami, who was shunted out throughout the tournament.
Dumbbells Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Did Kohli handpick Vinay ' date=' Arvind etc. ?[/quote'] Nope.
Magneto Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Ishwar Pandey has signed with Pune Warriors. Not sure if all these guys playing T20 cricket after doing well in FC cricket is such a good idea. Could destroy their confidence. Look at it positively. They'll get to hobnob with some proven international cricketers, and if studious enough, will pick up some tricks of the trade. Will get some specialist coaches too to guide them a bit. Also, if they get to play a match, they'll have a feel of international cricket - they'll get huge crowds, will get televised, scrutinised and will be more battle-ready. Ranji games get lesser crowd than gali cricket, so the pressure is hardly ever there.
Dumbbells Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 If suggesting names makes someone a good captain' date=' then Gambhir should also be a good captain, no?[/quote'] He is not a selector, he can only suggest names if he sees a talent. Gambhir midget should score some runs to be considered as a captain.
express bowling Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Pandey has talked in a logical way in the interview. He maybe a thinking bowler. Let's see.

Gambhir midget should score some runs to be considered as a captain.[/quote'] Which Ranji match has Kohli seen to judge his talent? He's probably heard about him and suggested his name. Your rat has scored two 50+ scores in his last 20 knocks for the country ... and is himself on the edge.
SLICKR392 Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 Pandey has talked in a logical way in the interview. He maybe a thinking bowler. Let's see. You figured that out by the way he talks?
express bowling Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Pacers are always getting injured. So, Pandey may get some games.
Magneto Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Pandey has talked in a logical way in the interview. He maybe a thinking bowler. Let's see. But did not bat logically in that match :cantstop: Paid the price for unnecessary bravado.
Magneto Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Pacers are always getting injured. So' date=' Pandey may get some games.[/quote'] Dinda and Bhuvan hardly get injured. Dinda, other than that side strain last year, has kept himself fit.

Waqar younis was selected to Pak team by Imran just by watching him bowl in an inter college match. U don't have to watch a bowler 100s of overs to judge his talent, few overs is more than enough. Virat is struggling now, does that mean he should be dropped? are u out of ur mind?

express bowling Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 But did not bat logically in that match :cantstop: Paid the price for unnecessary bravado. Thinking pacers often bat rashly, just think about how Akram(an) batted. Good quicks have this josh about them. :winky:

So stop making Virat look like a great judge of talent blah blah. If Kohli fails in the next ten knocks, he'll out of the 11 for sure. Some former India captains have already started saying that. I said Kohli is on the edge, did not say should be dropped. I know you are a blind fanboy, but how blind can a blind fanboy be? :hmmm:
