carnish Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Doesn't mall in Mumbai/Delhi/Banglore have more than 9 screen ? Sathyam Cinemas is launching 'LUXE' 10 screens + 1 IMax @ Velachery, Chennai Not 9 screens ... The article says 9 theatres.
Jersey #10 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 9 theaters .. most theaters in the US have 10-20 screens
Jersey #10 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Not 9 screens ... The article says 9 theatres. Very highly doubt it. It's most likely 9 screens. Can you imagine 9 theaters competing for the same movie in the same mall? Not possible. It's most likely a multiplex
Needforspeed Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 There are 104 Lulu Hypermarkets across all countries in the Middle East. BTW Lulu is the name (pet name not legal name) of his wife.

BeautifulGame Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Shopping malls in India now are bigger and better than some of the malls here in the US. One thing I found however is that things are pretty expensive in these malls and I am not sure if the common man can afford to buy anything there. The worst thing is the parking ticket . They simply rob u off in chennai

It's most likely a multiplex I have my doubts too but thats what the article says. By the way, how big a city Kochi actually is, I know its going to get Metro soon, so maybe it needs a lot of halls. Down south people have lots of movies to choose from ... including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam and Kannada. Kochi with a population of more than 3 million people would definitely have people interested in movies from different parts of India.

I am not a big fan of the gigantic malls mostly because it kills the small businesses. Big malls are mostly eye candy where people go and spend their money causing decreasing revenues for the local stores. Now a big mall like this will generate profits in the pockets of international investors unlike local stores that mostly keep the money in the circulation in that region.
StriKe Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 In Pheonix mall? Yes..They rip you off only in Skywalk and EA but it's 50rs flat for parking in phoneix.
SLICKR392 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 wat a name:rofl: Lulu Lullu :P Lulu.. :giggle: :finger:

Are you saying that is high? Given that a pair of Levi Jeans costs Rs. 3500, I say Rs 100 parking is nothing. One of the better shops where I could find decent clothing in EA (price + quality) was LifeStyle.

I am rarely there for two hours, however I can see why going to a movie there can be expensive.

It's a best place to hangout after 3hrs movie and having lunch/dinner in mall. Since ticket price are same, People prefer these theatre which is more luxury than the normal screens.
T rex Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Truly monumental!! I'm sure Kochi residents wanted this the most in their lives -- imagine 9 shakeela movies playing at the same time!!
