ViruRulez Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I am watching the Deodhar trophy final for the last half an hour and the J&K Ranji season topper in both bowling and batting Parvez Rasool is opening the bowling. After a long time, I am seeing somebody who is "spinning" the ball rather than darting it. Bedi seems to have taught him well as most domestic spinners are nowadays darting or throwing instead of honing up their actual skill set i.e. spinning the ball. His fielding also seems good enough and he might be a guy to watch out for the future.
ViruRulez Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Meh .. they are hitting him now after I made this thread.. looks like a jinx thread
Cevno Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Have liked what i have seen from Rasool so far with the bat and ball.
urbestfriend Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 They should consider him only for tests else he'll eventually become another darter.
Dumbbells Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Good to c. He spins his off spinners. Doesn't wear full sleeve as he has clean action. Impressed wid his batting too. He will do far better job if he is selected ahead of bhajji.
Cevno Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Yeah, like his seam position and the rip he gives to his off spinners. Tough to tell in a Lista A game but seemed to have a nice loop too.
carnish Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Wasted talent in an Era when CSK and Ashwin will Rule for a decade. Sad that this generation of Indian spinners will never excel as Srini wont let them get picked. Only exception is Jadeja who can bat a little and has been a CSKian for the last few seasons.
Cevno Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Jaitley takes over BCCI next year, so he has a chance. :D
Needforspeed Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I think Jalaj Saxena and Rasool are the two off-spinners of the future. Kick out Darty.
Ankur Upadhyay Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Rasool is one for the future.. A proper allrounder.. jalaj saxena is more of a bits and pieces player..
Cevno Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Darty will take some wickets in one test and we'll be stuck with him for 754747754 tests.
I6MTW Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Better bowler than Jadeja. But Jadeja better batsmen than him.
Ankur Upadhyay Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Better bowler than Jadeja. But Jadeja better batsmen than him. how can you say that jadeja is a better batsman??? I dont think that you have ssen enough of rasool's batting??

Vanarp22 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 how can you say that jadeja is a better batsman??? I dont think that you have ssen enough of rasool's batting?? And apparently you haven't heard of Jadeja's 3 first-class triple centuries...
cowboysfan Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Better bowler than Jadeja. But Jadeja better batsmen than him. Jadeja cannot bat,i dont care how many triple hundreds he gets in the ranjis.
Ankur Upadhyay Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 And apparently you haven't heard of Jadeja's 3 first-class triple centuries... i have seen him bat in international matches, if that matters....
