At least players in Team India are not being selected at gun points like they did at DDCA under Jaitley a few years ago. DDCA is synonymous with nepotism, corruption and utter inefficiency under Jaitley

This just makes me even more depressed.

Thus dhoni should shoulder the blame more Foriegn coaches will not have any clue about Indian domestic players, unless they spend enormous time watching domestic cricket while India isn't playing international cricket. Fletcher has to rely on Dhoni and the selection panel to pick the squad. Yes I agree probably Dhoni decides the X1 and Fletcher probably isn't involved that much.

Jaitley has atleast tried to do some good things, but generally not been involved first hand. Atleast he's in politics so more accountable and accessible than Srini who has been Smug and has a i don't give a damn attitude. Things might not improve too much but can't get worse atleast.

Coach's job is to help in strategy and other aspects like fitness and all. What has Fletcher added for the past 2 years ? Nothing unlike Kirsten who brought in a Psychologist, backed right players and gave good strategic inpurts. Coach we can appoint someone else from all over the world or someone not coaching currently. Players we have to live with what we have. Stupid comparison. Fletcher is just grooming CSK players.

The very fact that back in 2000, Jaitley agreed to be the candidate of the chor group of DDCA (CK Khanna, Sunil Dev, Tihara etc) fighting against Bishen Bedi who was leading a group of players to change things at DDCA shows where his priorities were. Things have got worse under him with goons running the show.
