gaurav92 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 A strange fact that Unmukt Chand has made ducks in the opening game of both the IPL season IV and VI. What more? He has been bowled on both the occasions. Malinga got him in the first game of the 2011 edition and this time it was Lee who got him. I hope he does well in the remaining games but yeah, his technique looks poor against the moving ball.
Pagalpanti Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 There's a video of him in NZ A, you could see he hardly moves the feet to pitched up deliveries, mostly hangs back which makes him a good back foot player but against moving ball he might struggle. Lets see though
rkt.india Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Genuine pacers get him? He has faced as quick U19 bowlers as Lee and Malinga in U19 matches from Australia and England. Likes of Cummins and Jamie Overton were even quicker. First ball is no measure to judge a batsmen. He got a good delivery yesterday which most batsmen would have struggled to survive especially on their first ball when batsmen are tentative.

Yes he got a good ball first up, but he is generally not a good player of swing. Saw him in U/19 W las tyear and he was tentative against the moving ball.
CoverDrive Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 he plays with hard hands and is likely to struggle vs. moving ball
SLICKR392 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 That was a brilliant ball from Lee to start with.
G_B_ Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Chand has too high a bat lift he will always struggle against pacers who target the stumps upfront. I saw this world cup final innins and he was good against balls just outside off.
game_changerr Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 robbie is way better than him. agree,,,robbie has aged so gracefully
skindia Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 yesterday must have been amavsya...so he made duck..
saneindian Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 u19 world cup was on flat pitches. Correct. The 2004 u-19 WC where Uthappa did well was in Bangladesh
CSK Fan Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Must have been full moon night yesterday must have been amavsya...so he made duck.. My joke was not only made before you, it was much better and works on different levels (Cahnd = moon, moon = round, round = zero, etc). I win, you lose, I'm michael Jackson, you Tito
saneindian Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 and cb series was also on flat tracks? There has been no CB series for U-19 players..do you know about one?
