Jersey #10 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 and followed by a huge no ball on the last ball of the innings:omg: cricket at it's best :king:
fineleg Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 While people are celebrating Sir's achievements - what is more worrying is some of the kind of braindead International (played in Indian team) cricketers we have produced. RP Singh? No-ball experts like RPS, Ishant Sharma... And we have others (even Sehwag) who will not ground the bat, slide it in while running, and even Gambhir sometimes doesnt slide in correctly while taking a run. We have fielders Hands/Fingers pointing in wrong directions while taking catches. Close-in fielders who dont bend the knees to be agile (Virat Kohli in Ind-Aus Tests) These things dont require 'genius level players'. Just basics and foundations and they screw it up regularly. Bowlers not backing up (for run out chances to collect throws) -lazy Zaheer Khan for e.g. CSK won or RCB won hardly matters in a fit-for-nothing tournament called I.Pu.L. But it shows how much players lack in basics. Its not just older players like RP Singh, you can see some jacksht fundamentals missing even in newer "Intl.players" like A. Mithun (shoddy quality in fielding or thinking while bowling) or M.Vijay et.al. More often than not, Aussies, England, SA dont goof up on such basics.
