Zelig Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 what? tell me it's not true? It's not true. He debuted in IPL 2011 with a ton at Kolkatta :om:
I6MTW Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Oh ok. I think I saw part of the match but I thought it was at bangalore. But I think the rest of his centuries have come from bangalore.
SLICKR392 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 ^ 3 tons in B'lore. 1 in Kolkata and Delhi each.
I6MTW Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 ^ 3 tons in B'lore. 1 in Kolkata and Chennai each. He never scored a ton in chennai. He scored only 4.
SLICKR392 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 He never scored a ton in chennai. He scored only 4. My bad..he scored 1 in Delhi and Kolkata.

vvvslaxman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Gayle is bound to fail at times with his style. Remember in the world T20 in England he was taking far too much time to get going . He was playing out so many dot balls against Bhajji and eventually got out. This slow start and bang bang at the end doesn't always work. That day Bravo took them over the line.

The standout has to be the WT20 finals.
vvvslaxman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 The standout has to be the WT20 finals. Imagine the pressure he has to handle. People conveniently overlook that. Amoung of expectations on Gayle is humongous. I would blame the support players like Dilshan.
I6MTW Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Many top players fail when it comes to the big stage(finals of any tournament whether intl or domestic)
I6MTW Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Only person in the world who can handle pressure very well and likes to be under pressure is MS Dhoni. But only in limited overs. In tests he is just now improving.
vvvslaxman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Many top players fail when it comes to the big stage(finals of any tournament whether intl or domestic) i see what you mean.. this thread is going to derail into another Tendu thread :winky:

vvvslaxman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Not just him. There are other players. Gilly is a gun player in finals. Probably he actually has the license to kill from the top. It is one thing having the license. But executing is another thing. :hatsoff:
