His ODI captaincy results have been less than stellar. 19 won and 30 lost. wtf!.

Sammy will continue to lead Tests and T20. West Indies (if I'm not wrong) have won just 3 ODI series under Sammy's helm and most of those are against Bangladesh/Zimbabwe.

I think one of the reasons was that they have many similar kind of medium pace - hard hitting all rounders like Bravo, Sammy, Pollard, Andre Russell, Dwayne Smith. Bravo probably being the best of the lot. If Sammy is captain, they are kind of stuck, and inevitably can't get the balance of the team right. If Bravo is the captain (he can bat in the top 5), they can pick 2 of the others who are in good form at that moment.
