The Mark Richardson which you are talking about had a SR of 37 in Test cricket and was a bowler to start with who converted to a batsman. I saw Hamish Rutherford on his Test debut playing at a SR of 78 and smoking Anderson, Finn, Broad and Panesar all around in Dunedin. That for me is destructive. 0Lvq7kg-cm0
Had you seen that pitch ... SR of 78 is nothing on that pitch. He respected the good deliveries on that pitch too. Warner would have scored at a SR of 130+ on that pitch.

 Does not make him a Mark Richardson or les destructive. He really throws the kitchen sink to the balls in his zone.

We weren't comparing him to Richardson in terms of his strike rate, but the patience with which he plays and the style of batting ... technique in defence and stuff. Warner goes out there every time with attack on his mind. Its different with this guy.

They are getting killed by England B team.
Even Pakistan performed well in the tour game against SA and got 49'd the in their first game. :giggle: Tour games don't mean a lot.

...Pakistan play good in tour games......gets destroyed in real game. ...New Zealand player terrible in tour games.....win real games? Yah I don't see how that is going to work.
Not gonna happen but they aren't getting hammered either.

Joe Root is scoring bucket load of runs for England and Yorkshire. He is in such good form that England might be tempted to open with him and cook rather than Compton.
