Zelig Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 A cricket coach's role is overrated. He is hardly in play when the game is on unlike other sports. A captain is more important than a coach IMO.
G_B_ Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Domingo takes over as SA coach Russell Domingo, Gary Kirsten's assistant, has been appointed South Africa's new coach. Domingo will take over from Kirsten in August with his first assignment being the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka. Domingo has been second in command since Kirsten was appointed in June 2011 and was put in charge of South Africa's Twenty20 squad last December. Kirsten earmarked Domingo as his successor two years ago and rubber-stamped him upon his resignation yesterday when he said Domingo was ready for "high-level coaching."
