King Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/jul/19/andrew-strauss-lie-detector Although not 100% at least it lends to some credibility on the part of the players. It's a shame it has to come to this but I'd like to see IPL get each of the players participating in the game before the start of the game and after the game take up lie detector test. If a team fails to comply or come through clean suspend the team. I can't see any other logical way to keep IPL clean. Shame it will also make us doubt the good ones but it is inevitable now. If IPL does put one like this in place, the ICC will sure follow suit.

Malcolm Merlyn Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Ravi:woot: Welcome back. So the controversy has dragged the King out.
Sachinism Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Lie detectors can be beat. Harsh penalties, better education. Clean up the surroundings. Half the team owners are involved in something dodgy anyway. Limit promo's, endorsements, etc. so they're not mincing with all-sorts
Crookbond Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Corruption is bred in an insecure, unfair environment. The moment you lead to a secure, fair and congenial environment for merit based reward you have eliminated the prime motive of corruption.

Not everyone can get a 25 million $ pay cheque like Dhoni and they are going to be jealous. Our stupid politicians are not still not satisfied looting us.

You need to understand the difference between an unfair environment and a fair environment which may lead to disparate income. In your case, the so called "losers" can only whine because the system will not encourage anything but merit.
