How do you know ?He doesn't sit in auctions. He doesn't list in the owners list. He doesn't have to. By all accounts he could be kept in the dark. Unless you suggest Dhoni was involved in betting too he doesn't have to answer.

That's why they asked whether he knows anything or not [it's highly doubtful he doesn't know anything about auctions, which players they want etc.] See you are not understanding Dhoni's status in Indian cricket , people think he is powerful, so they ask question. As a good/great leader he should able to answer certain question if not all.
