Sachin speaks about IPL scam

Cant compare Dhoni and Sachin in this situation. Dhoni has been a puppet of Srinivasan and would have been chucked out by now if it was not for Srini. So you cant expect him to speak against his master. Sachin does have a stature to speak, Dhoni is just a pawn.

Whatta statement! I am disappointed, shocked ... abba dabba jabba. Lets trust the authorities ... abba dabba jabba.
D_M bhai. Just one question. dhoni may or may not speak later,(which is your gut), but would your reactions be if Dhoni would have made the same statement?

And so is Tendulkar from the same cricketing association which Sharad Pawar was a head of. Your point?
What ? Sachin was in the Ranji side way way before and because he was born there. Comparing that to a private enterprise and concious decision to become Vice president of that is ludicrous to say the least and straw man at best. And then saying Chavan is from Mumbai is same or even remotely similar to this situation and not responding is just :hysterical:. Besides, Why the hell would anyone fix a Ranji match anyway ? Who the hell bets on that ? 95% are not even broadcasted.

I am bothered about what he DOES about it. I am more concerned about actions than lip service. :poink: Look at the context with which I posted and the following discussion.

nothing' date=' just like any other indian captain in the past[/quote'] Similar to what Ganguly, Tendulkar, Kumble or Dravid did in the 2000s after the match fixing scandal broke.

CG, From the Indian cricket team POV I am worried that Sreesanth is caught as a spot fixer. I am really not worried about Meyappam or his underhand dealings/fixing etc. It's Dhoni and CSK's hard work which is getting over shadowed and that is for Dhoni to see. I am an ICF and on ICF I am worried that an current player who was part of two world winning tournaments was caught spot fixing in a tournament. Unfortunately, this tournament was IPL - I would be equally worried had it been a county team or some franchise in South Africa. I am also deeply worried that a player like Ankeet Chavan who contributed immensely to Mumbai winning it's 40th Ranji Trophy title is also involved in this. THIS is my main worry as of now. The IPL is a sham and always has been - What do you say about a league in which 7 out of 9 teams are being investigated by various government agencies? It's razz mataaz shifts the focus of the media, celebrities and many people, mine. As a ICF, I sincerely hope that the rot does not stem deep. It will be difficult to watch cricket if that's true. There's a warm up match being telecast live in the next 20 minutes which otherwise I would've without any reason caught. The build up in the last 3-4 weeks has cast doubts in my mind.

That's what I am also more concerned about. See, the way I look at it is, that you can stay silent or at best say what Sachin said. so, either ways, as long as there's some action taken, both approaches are absolutely fine.

I Agree On Most Parts. But Really What Can Dhoni Do,honestly Dhoni Himself has conflict of intrest. The Best He could Do Is Disassociate Himself From CSK If they are found Guilty .He Can make statements and thats that. The Next Boss willl make him dance to his tunes and if he does not he will be booted out.

That is just a start; next he can be more proactive in setting an example in the Indian cricket team. He can slip in a strong word that if people are suspected of having such deals he will make sure that their cricketing career is over - Bob Simpson style.
