bulbul Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Breaking his silence over the spot-fixing scandal that rocked Indian cricket in the recent past, Sachin Tendulkar has expressed his shock and disappointment over the developments in the last two weeks. "Developments in the last two weeks have been shocking and disappointing," Tendulkar said on Friday. "It always hurts me when game of cricket is in news for wrong reasons," he added. When the greats of the game of past and present have been tight-lipped over the issue that has tarnished the image of Indian cricket, Tendulkar's comments might do the work of soothing the feelings of many fans who felt cheated when the scandal came into light.
Por Favor Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Damned if you speak, damned if you dont" Hopefully, now Sachin wont be marred for his statement.

saneindian Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 hope robin also breaks his silence against sreenivasan...why he is not getting contract for last 3-4 years..why players like vijay and kartik gets contract and entry in team again and again. Does Robbie have an opinion on the sad state of Indian ecnomy and the falling GDP figures too?

Crookbond Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Whatta statement! I am disappointed, shocked ... abba dabba jabba. Lets trust the authorities ... abba dabba jabba.
diga Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Pawar can make anyone speak in support of Mumbai lobby .. :--D
CSK Fan Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Whatta statement! I am disappointed, shocked ... abba dabba jabba. Lets trust the authorities ... abba dabba jabba. That's all anyone wanted Dhoni to say too. Instead of nodding his head like a lifeless BCCI puppet. Obviously these players don't have evidence shared with them so they can't speak about the case. They can share their own feelings
FischerTal Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 hey dont make fun of him guys. atleast he, unlike his party leader, speaks on an issue :giggle:
CSK Fan Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Such public statements might seem very small, but it puts a lot of pressure on the board
Crookbond Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 That's all anyone wanted Dhoni to say too. Instead of nodding his head like a lifeless BCCI puppet. Obviously these players don't have evidence shared with them so they can't speak about the case. They can share their own feelings OK - Probably, he will say more according to my gut feeling. But, important point to note is that Tendulkar made a statement after he won the IPL viz. there were no on field cricketing duties. I believe it may be same for Dhoni as well. I have no problem MTC with any such statements. All I want is that we view all players with the same lens.

Crookbond Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Small clarification. Mayappan was/is CEO of CSK , Dhoni is captain of CSK. And so is Tendulkar from the same cricketing association which Sharad Pawar was a head of. Your point?
