bulbul Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Is there a conflict of interest between MS Dhoni the businessman and MS Dhoni the Indian cricket team captain? ET investigations reveal that a 15% stake bought by Dhoni earlier this year in the sports marketing firm that manages him has spawned a tangled web of business associations, raising issues of propriety and conflict of interest in at least two situations The first situation is in his position as the captain of the Indian cricket team in all three formats of the game. This sports marketing firm - Rhiti Sports Management, set up by Arun Pandey, a close friend and business associate of Dhoni - also manages four other current cricketers: Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh. "I have heard it for the first time," says Anurag Thakur, joint secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). "If there is a concern, we may look into the matter." http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics-and-nation/investigations-reveal-15-stake-bought-by-ms-dhoni-in-sports-marketing-firm-rhiti/articleshow/20400736.cms
CSK Fan Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Another thing, which will be blowing up in our faces soon. Never should have been allowed in the first place, what was Dhoni thinking?

Crookbond Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 RpSingh99: Don't know what exactly is running in the news but just to clarify I am not with Rhiti Sports.
Crookbond Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Don't you think your post is very soft reply :winky: Khud ka sar chhodkar, aapka sar peeth lu?
Por Favor Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 15% stakes in what? I just went to Rhiti's website and they have atleast 5 different business ventures. This includes SportsFit and Mahi Racing.... Everyone knows that he is invested in these business.. BTW check the 'QUESTION MARK' in the article shown in the OP (first stmt).... That mean even the media whose reporting this doesn't know if their a conflict.... BS to the core... The article also clearly mentions that MSD started acquiring stakes only in 2012-13.
velu Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 if BCCI mama own CSK , Dhoni can own players :cantstop: :cantstop:

diga Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 all the things discussed in ICF almost 6 months back are being run by the news media now... seems like a concerted effort by vested interests to bring down Srini & Dhoni. Why did this not come out earlier?
Cevno Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 all the things discussed in ICF almost 6 months back are being run by the news media now... seems like a concerted effort by vested interests to bring down Srini & Dhoni. Why did this not come out earlier? There was no conclusive proof. ROC documents obtained now apparently, if the story is true.

diga Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 There was no conclusive proof. ROC documents obtained now apparently, if the story is true. so how did it come out in ICF? most of those were already in minor newspapers, its only now that mainstream media(paid media) is highlighting all this now
bulbul Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 so how did it come out in ICF? most of those were already in minor newspapers' date=' its only now that mainstream media(paid media) is highlighting all this now[/quote'] I guess Seeni's frquent critcism of media riled them. [still this is a shameless media can't trolled so easily]
Cevno Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 so how did it come out in ICF? most of those were already in minor newspapers' date=' its only now that mainstream media(paid media) is highlighting all this now[/quote'] No idea where it came from, but Mainstream media probably wanted ROC documents before publishing stories. There might be other motivations too, as you say. Who knows ?
