someone Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 JDU has been against Modi because it has to protect its Muslim vote bank - if it ditches a Modi led BJP then it will actually gain some votes. JDU is interesting case. Some years back, they had no problems with Modi but in recent years, it's all changed. Their lack of consistency is shocking and if anything, they are perfect opportunists. And that is also happening within their own party, and many have voiced their concerns about their direction. JDU is not focused on Modi but rather RJD and thus showing some desperation. JDU have taken their recent success as granted.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 How naive are you. Modi can do just about anything but as long as he is significant, the opponents will look to bury him. Thus, He can do no right and actually everything he does is perceived as wrong. Which is why Modi still has to focus on his own work and stop listening his detractors. Also, SIT cleared him which was one of the most detailed investigations conducted in India, so now unless you want to challenge the very Indian laws, this issue is a non-issue. it may be a non issue for you but its not for coalition partners and for many, many Indians. Just wait and watch as elections get closer how Cong will use the media to make this the single biggest issue in the elections. As for being naive - just wait for a few months and we'll see who is naive - the people who think Modi is the BJP's biggest liability or those who think that he's the BJP's saviour.

JDU is not focused on Modi but rather RJD and thus showing some desperation. JDU have taken their recent success as granted. some years back JDU wasn't a major player in Bihar and it didn't have that big a Muslim vote bank to protest. As for lack of consistency, well its just politics - he is trying to make sure his committed voters don't desert him because of his association with people like Modi.
someone Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 it may be a non issue for you but its not for coalition partners and for many, many Indians. Just wait and watch as elections get closer how Cong will use the media to make this the single biggest issue in the elections. Cong actually not been too focused on that issue and have actually focused on counter arguments against his developments. I wrote this before to you as well, anything can be dangerous if too much oversold. It is this being oversold which actually brought Modi that popularity. Congress are not gonna make that mistake again and will look to attack in other forms. Infighting is what they want as that has been the principal reason behind their success with no united opposition ever against them. Now that's the biggest thing BJP needs to worry about, as it is a democracy party so opinions will be made unlike Congress which follows a dictatorship approach.
ganeshran Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Lol, where can I start. If you a little bit of sense, you wouldn't have written that. Firstly, the only way Congress is and has been winning elections is that minorities are polarized and vote on religious lines. So don't give me that BS of yours. And jealously and pure political reasons can never be legitimate reasons. LOL you wore the tin foil hat again rich coming from you who has one single point theme to each and every post - Everyone who is opposed to Modi either has some sort of hidden agenda or is paid by Congress or is biased. Modi might even had gotten the Nobel peace prize had it not been for the evil kanspiracy by left wing paid media and greedy politicians. Minorities might have been consolidating the vote and forming votebanks, but locally they have always disagreed on the candidates to support. Modi leading 2014 leads to consolidation of minority vote for Congress and against BJP. If 10-12% of the electorate decides to unite for the opposing side there is no way it will win a landslide in any state and given the paucity of pre poll allies BJP needs to sweep a couple of states only to make post poll alliances a viable option

ganeshran Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 It is common knowledge that RSS has considerable say in the running of the BJP. Don't know why that should come as a surprise
