If you want to eliminate poverty, exploitation of the poor, then distribute unconditional cash (like an amount of 1000/-) per month to any person over 15yo who seeks it. Track this through biometric verification (iris, fingerprints etc). This is a sure shot way and the only way which would work in India. This way, you also by-pass the corrupt, non-working schemes of the GoI. See the relative prices of things: Rs 4600 - minimum one-way Delhi-Blore airfare Vs Rs 25 per Kg for Wheat flour, 32/- for 1ltr toned milk, Rs 250 each per month for phone bill, Digital Tv connection etc. Even if 400million people avail this scheme that I propose, it will cost $80billion to $96Billion yearly depending on exchange rates.
