He is probably a better pure goalscorer than Rooney but Rooney offers much more to the team. More importantly it gets the best of Mata in the hole behind the striker. The only change would be start Januj in Youngs place. Evra, Smalling, Jones, Rafael - Fellaini, Fletcher - Adnan J, Mata, Kagawa - Rooney

Kagawa can play in the hole role behind Rooney and maybe Valencia or Nani or Young out wide. I dont know how fit Nani is, but he surely offers more than the other two as a winger

Moyes needs to be bold and sell RVP this summer, use the funds to upgrade midfield/LB. Can only imagine the damage Rooney would have caused with the kind of service there was yesterday.
