gattaca Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Why do Indian fast bowlers the good ones don't take up coaching. When you are good at something why don't you teach someone and earn and make country proud as well. Srinath and kapil they could have taken up coaching careers. I was really disappointed when I heard Srinath was a match referee. Such a talent he was for us. This is now happening to spin bowling as well. Kumble doesn't want to be a coach.
gattaca Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 ^^ never considered him a good fast bowler.
Sajid_Rana Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Because they are not good enough. To become a coach one needs to be master of his trade like Donald , Akram or Waqar. Averaging around 30 odd wont get you a bowling coaching job with an international team.
gattaca Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Except SA none of the below ones have below 30 avg don't they. Averages dont count when you are coaching may be in an all time list. But if you have good skills and make players learn them and having coaching experience you will be selected for that position. All below are international coaches they are not club coaches. English coach: David saker: Avg : 30 Pakistan coach: Mohammad Akram Awan avg: 50.52(international) 28.82(first class) Australia coach: Allister de Winter avg: 50.51
Sandeep99 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I hope Zaheer travels with the Indian team with the youngsters to share valuable information..
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 everyone cannot be a coach. you need to have the drive. they can be consultants though - short term coaching.
vamos_rafa Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 If you have been a good/great player, it does not guarantee of you being a good player.
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 If you have been a good/great player' date=' it does not guarantee of you being a good player.[/quote'] i think you wanted to say "not guaranteed to be a good coach"?
gattaca Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 If you have been a good/great player' date=' it does not guarantee of you being a good player.[/quote'] But you don't know until you try. The names I mentioned at least I didn't heard they tried.
