Good contribution everyone. Keep it going. I met Mohammad Zahid recently in US Open cricket tournament in Florida. He and Danish Kaneria were on sameteam. Though I did not talk to Danish, Zahid seemed a great down to earth person to talk to. He shared story of getting Dravid out during under 19 days and felt later that he along Lara, were the best players to him.

That's awesome, was touted to be on par with Lee and Akhtar in terms of pace but injury cut his career short. Funnily I've also spoken to a few Indian players while I was a ballboy in an Ind vs Pak game. I was sitting on the part of the boundary where the substitutes would also hang out so got to chat with RP Singh, Uthappa, Irfan Pathan. All great guys and were extremely friendly. Uthappa also dry-humped Irfan.

Collymore took 5 wickests against us in the final back in 2001 in Zimbabwe tri series was really quick then got injured lost his pace. Last I think he played in 2007 World Cup if I'm not wrong. Powell did he played against Pakistan back in 2011 in Westindies?

Nice. Let me share some more with you. He told me, he wasn't ready to to play for Pakistan during the series in 1998 when Mark Taylor scored 334* against Pakistan. He blamed Aamir Sohail for asking him to play and keep bowling with broken back in that game. What happend was during or before series, Akram and Waqar got injured and it opened chances for Zahid to play. Aamir knew about Zahid's poor back and he wanted him to fail and get out of the team roster. Zahid complained a lot about his poor back during the game, but Aamir kept telling him to keep bowling with that back. Zahid said "I kept bowling because Aamir didn't listen and told me to just bowl with the way I am. I ended up messing my back and my future was over right away. That injured messed up my career. " He hates Aamir Sohail. He also said that his good friend Salim Elahi, another young prsopect back then during his time, wasn't treated well by Aamir Sohail. Aamir kept messing up his mind and later the night before the test match against England or Australia at home, Salim Elahi got fed up of Ami Sohail and left the team hotel and went back home and never picked up the bat for 3-4 years and cut his links with cricket. He was morally down. Another cricket career was over.

Cameron Cuffy another guy who I remember played for a good amount of time for Westindies he was very economical in that 2002 Test Series against us going at two an over plus Sachin became bunny of Pedro Collins in that series

My favourite bowler loved his bowling action but was always injued :(( I liked Bond more than Shoaib or Lee had a memorable Tri Series against Australia and South Africa back in 2002 I think after that he never looked back.

Former England bowler cum all rounder Dougie Brown is a Warwickshire Coach currently. He also played for Scotland during the 2007 world cup.
