What is wrong with Parthiv Patel ?

He has been a shining light of consistency , rattling off runs at a Bradmenousque rate. I tried to search for his first class stats to put , but couldnt get hold of any meaningful ones. But off the top of my head , i can recollect this guy scoring a century in the last 5-6 matches almost every time he has come in to bat. Its such a pity , that he is playing in the same era as Dhoni and Karthik. Dhoni is too well-established in the side ,but Karthik's slot for opener is up for grabs, if he fails in next series. Good to see competition like this.

The way he is batting right , he sure can. Karthik will be under immense pressure the following series. If say Karthik delivers and Jaffer fails , we could even have 3 wicket-keepers in the same side. Wonderful , they can take turns ! :D

pfff...what was he 19 at that time?:rolleyes: i hope he improved:eyedance:
point is same. Wicket keepers always have trouble fielding in other positions other than keeping.

Is there a Gajendra Singh Dhoni Holy ? Dhoni's younger brother ? Parthiv isnt a one-day player , Uthappa isnt a test player.

Parthiv is solid Test batsman..he can take one down position once dravid retires..the guy has tremendous fighting abilities..
Brilliant!!!! Parthiv hit 4-5 centuries in INDIAN DOMESTIC CRICKET and people have already tagged him as next dravid. IF parthiv does get chosen instead of dravid and IF he fails then people will be out there with a dagger in their hands to axe parthiv out of the team. :haha:

Dropthiv should never be allowed to keep wickets. The guy behind the stumps is as dangerous as they come. Yes, he is a fine bat and we could use him in tests once the maharathis decide to terminate their long term lease.

Err, its such a blessing his era coincides with Dhoni's & KKD's. Imagine, having to witness this nincompoop doing a dandiya behind the sticks every game without having an adequate replacement ? Parthiv Patel's first goal is to attain puberty and then to catch mosquitoes at net practice. When he graduates from there, he can aspire to be a wickie. Until then spare us the trouble little fella!

performing in Indian domestic cricket and performing on international level is whole different ball of game. we have to hold our comments on his batting/keeping ONLY when he plays on international level.
