Nothing on the market? There are many 5MP cameras are better than 8MP cameras on the market. In this case, it may not be true.
i thought we were talking about this phone.. yeah i hate it when people see 13 mega pixels or 20 mega pixel they think its better camera specially on phone. if u meant it generally then i agree but it does not applies at all in this case :)

It was indeed a generic statement like I have said it earlier. There's an implicit rule in mins to see 8MP>5MP. Again, I'm not commenting on the Nokia 1520 camera. Just making general observations.
I own a 14 mega pixel P to S and also 7 mega pixel P to S. Both canon . 7 MP puts out better picture. I know why. Even layman will ask questions like why some lower MP cost you more. He will find the answer eventually. That part is a common knowledge. I am talking about this specific camera.

My Canon G6 Model released six years before(2004) my Canon SD1300 model . As you can clearly see 1/2.3" for SD 1300 (12 megapixels) and 1/1.8" for G6 (7 mega pixels) bigger lens than XPeria and 1520 . G6 pictures are better any day. SD1300 pictures always somewhat grainy, smudgy.

I have a Nokia Lumia 650 windows phone. Pictures are good in daylight, but its terrible in nights...its a big drawback and I used to post pictures almost every day on Facebook....I have stopped doing it...:((:((

For good measure Nokia Lumia 1020 8.80×6.60 mm = 58.08 mm Nokia Lumia 1520 iphone 5s 5.221 x 3.933 mm = 20.53 mm iphone 5 4.54 x 3.42 = 15.526 mm If i am going to compare these specs with cameras i own Panasonic HDC-TM90 is a camcorder. It has a 5 mp camera.. not sure about the sensor size.. i think it is 1/4.1 larger. Pictures look great though.. not sure the technology involved here Canon sd1300 - 6.17 x 4.55 = 28.0735 mm Canon G6 7.144 x 5.358 = 38.277 mm Canon DSLR 450d 22.2 x 14.8 mm = 328.56 mm As you can see .. Nokia 1020 beats most of the point to shoot comfortably. It would be naive to expect them to compete with DSLR though. THere are some very expensive point to shoot which has great features like Sony Cybershot. I am not going to go there.

The megapixel myth has treated camera manufacturers well over the years, those ever increasing, and often meaningless, numbers have sold millions of cameras. But consumers are getting wise to it. We've all seen dodgy images from high megapixel cameras and know that after a point, megapixels don't matter for most people – a 16 MP compact isn't ever going to be as good as a 12 MP Full Frame DSLR. What does matter is sensor size!.........read more....

If it's 625 you got to be kidding.. the camera is one of the best and on par with S3 and note 2 even it's 5 MP.. daylight pics are really good on that one..
