Unadkat is malnourished, weak and pathetic. Keep this 76mph bowler away from India Team!

moral of the story dont have Wasim as a bowling coach. If you look at when KKR won the IPL their seamers including Lee were ****. Narine Sakib and Abdulla won the matches for them

So you think he is actually a 140kmph bowler?
Said in a post above. He is a 82-83 mph bowler (bowls that speed consistently in FC matches) with a potential to be upto 85 mph. What he's missing right now is the inswing into right handers. Will make him a very effective bowler

I don't think unadkat touched 139 in 2010. I did see pace upto 134 in the pak match. that would be Johnson territory.MJ first got his name in public for clocking 140 at 17.

are you sure one can trust it? my impression was his effort ball was around 134 .139 is too big a overachievement considering that.
I watched the match and they showed it to be his fastest and thing was he was trying to bowl quick at that time and was consistently over 130K, but he slowed down considerably and struggled to reach 130 once he started playing for KKR and coached by Akram. I was so impressed that I thought he could be really good in 2-3 years and will gain more pace once he fills in. His pace and performance in U19 WC was the sole reason he was fast tracked into India A team even without being played a single FC match. We had a thread on his here at ICF. This was the thread. http://indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=204438&highlight=Jaydev+Unadkat

Well every time I see him he bowls 80 and below Evidence is right there in front of us, the last match. Pathetic speeds We need to invest time on people who can deliver at interantional level, not these weak bowlers. This guy could do a vinnay and be a plaughe on indian team for years to come Needs to be nipped in bud now

KT, you did not respond to one of my posts. Two years back you called another 22 year old malnourished, pathetic and perhaps would have wanted him nipped in the bud then ...look where he's now. :--D

Unadkat’s spell, which began with a first-ball wicket that set the tone for a fiery over, rattled Pakistan’s batsmen. “One small goal I had set for myself was that I should touch 140 kmh on these helpful pitches,” said Unadkat, who almost got there, racking up 139kmh. “This was in my mind. We were playing a shortened game. That means you have to bowl full tilt from the first over itself.”

Wasim Akram ki advice ke side effects. Same happened with Irfan. I think he changed his wrist and grip after Akram's advice. It is not necessary that advices work every time. Be what you are.
Wasim had played in an era of tremendous anti India feeling in the Pakistan team. Would he really shrug all that off and work to produce great pacers in India ? I wonder.

Will leave others to spend an hour or so searching for that if I did( most seem to seem spend many an hour researching my posts and threads from a few years back:giggle:) Remember jokingly referring him to slumdog. And was descended upon by PC brigade saying I was out of order and making fun of poor from India:hysterical: And that so what if from slums. Point was he was not from slums, so not sure what they were on about!!!:--D

Even if Unadkat has the ability to bowl 130 to 135 k sometimes he will bowl 124 to 130 often. We have all seen Indian pacers settling in their lower pace bracket eventually. So, that is an issue that needs to be considered.

Seriously, this is stretching things a little too far. He worked there as a professional, got abused in Pakistan for doing so. Shami is on record saying Wasim made him a better bowler. Had helped Ishant as well after the WC and he bowled brilliantly in WI before losing his rhythm in England.

I do not think anything is intentional but advices can affect different bowlers differently. One might cope up with them, another might not. Regarding Ishant after WC, He did not play for KKR but for Deccan Chargers at that time and he had went back to his old time coach Shravan Kumar in that period, had got his action back but was still lacking good seam position which was the reason of his failure in England as he did not get much swing or seam there with poor seam position.

Hell no. This guy is pants:giggle: Do you actually rate this guy? Do you think he will do well for India?
If he develops the indipper he will do reasonably well, primarily because of the fuller length he normally hits.
