Not taking away anything from Bangladesh who performed better than they have in the past, having found some young talent, but weather did play a role in 2nd test. They did play brilliantly in first test but they were saved by rain in 2nd test for sure. Even in first test it rained a bit at crucial stage. It's actually exciting time for NZ fans. Result might have not their way, but all the new young guns are looking reallly good in batting. Most of the international teams are in transition and NZ is one of them too and it looks good for them that their batters are settlign in well. Rutherford, Watling, Kane Williamson and Anderson is good set of players to have for future along with Taylor and McCullum in the team. Their bowling will also get better from here on.

Bangladesh at home can now compete with almost half of the test playing nations but that doesn't make them much better since they have been playing test cricket for many years now. Overall, these 2 sides just need to play more test cricket and gain experience in different conditions in order to compete better.

At the point the 2nd test ended, it was balanced 50-50. Its true a result would have happened in that match had it not rained, but a 1-0 win for us was as likely as one for NZ who had to bat last in the match. We had a lead of 114 with 4 batsman still at the crease so its conceivable NZ would be chasing 250+ possibly 300+ to have to win.

Infac tyou can't blame them, they went for hammer and tongs because of DL method them in a situation where they needed 123 in 13 overs. Any top team would or could have fell to that trap. Bit unlucky new zealand today. Though they did play one too many shots when they had gotten some big overs, but I must say this game doesn't really make me say that Bangladesh out classes NZ. Scorecard should have looked different. Next game should prove that. NZ batting looks strong to me if it's a full 50 over game. Bat till Southie.
