Bhajji's SA experiance is will be valuable. His 7 wicket haul evaded a series defeat in SA. But I m not sure whether dhoni will pick 2 spinners' date=' unless he decides to promore ashwin to no.7. It might be a masterstroke or backfire terribly :(([/quote'] Bhajji has done nothing substantial to come back.If we somehow do play 2 spinners,it'll be Jaddu or Ojha

And u r a top sleuth as well - too good :nervous:
I too don't want Ashwin to lose his concentration on bowling. :(( His batting shld just be a bonus as of now. If he manages to perform well wth bat and ball, then it's good. but our team badly need him to perform in SA.

Yes fundamentally a 5+ wicket per test averaging bowler in 15-20 tests shouldn't focus on his batting. If hes insecure about his bowling abilities or his place in the side then its a cause of worry. We should be able to churn out quality batters a lot more frequently than bowlers - traditionally we have been doing just that and as a lot of fellows on here have gone about hammering we do not have bowling alternatives.
He won't focus on batting unless the captain/coach says so. The fact that he still comes at no.8 proves that no one is expecting him to bat. It may also be the reason for his success in batting. But dude, approaching 100 wks, with #6 rank in bowling and topping the all rounders charts, he shld be the last guy to be insecure abt his place (along with koli and dhoni :giggle: ). Currently we don't have any alternates who are as good as him and expect them to be successful in SA.
