yoda Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 how many more chances for anand to win? 12 games + tie breakers if necessary first to get 6.5 points wins you get .5 for a draw, 1 for a win so far 4 games are over and it is 2-2, 8 more to go
adi B Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 12 games + tie breakers if necessary first to get 6.5 points wins you get .5 for a draw, 1 for a win so far 4 games are over and it is 2-2, 8 more to go okay :nice: ,fair distance to go before anand can deliver the knockout punch
randomGuy Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 this game looks almost lost for anand.
Raghav_12 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I think it is heading for draw.. but then I didn't follow much of Chess..
Raghav_12 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 anand blundered in 46 th move.. I think 45th.. Now it is lost for him.
randomGuy Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 I think it is heading for draw.. but then I didn't follow much of Chess.. Me neither. At around 40th move, he made a move which led to him being a pawn down I thought Carlsen will convert this advantage to win because of better piece positions. But you are right, looks like we have another draw
velu Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 i think chess is the last game for the audience to give expert comment about whether the player made a mistake or not :giggle:
Raghav_12 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 i think chess is the last game for the audience to give expert comment about whether the player made a mistake or not :giggle: I also thought so until I started watching today's match closely :giggle:. Seriously speaking before I started watching this, I thought I would not make much sense out of the moves, as Mariyam had pointed out few days back. But now I suddenly feel that I can certainly offer some expert comments :--D.
randomGuy Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Or the black still has to fight it out.
Raghav_12 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Or the black still has to fight it out. Anand certainly thinks that he can snatch a draw here but looks unlikely.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Anand had a chance to draw.Blundered again. And lost. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2
randomGuy Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Anand had a chance to draw.Blundered again. And lost. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2 Yeah. it was going fine till around move 39 at which point I think he made a blunder(a blunder at GM level) and after that he was just chasing the game. Hope he finds some form in upcoming games..
yoda Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Going to be tough to win 2 games with 7 games remaining. Ofc 1 game is enough for rapid chess tie breakers which in this case probably gives neither player an advantage.

If it goes to rapid games,Anand has the advantage,he is probably the best rapid/blitz games player ever.
FischerTal Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Anand made a royal mess of it and looks like he might lose :wall:
