Texan Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 The next India-WI Test, as everyone knows, is being played out at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Barring injury, there is unlikely to be any change to the team that played the first Test. That means that Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Amit Mishra will be benched. Now, only about 20 - 30 minutes away at the Bandra-Kurla complex ground, Mumbai are playing Delhi in a star-studded Ranji Trophy game boasting of players like Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer, Dhawal, Jaffer, etc. A wise team management would release Ishant and Rahane to represent their respective Ranji teams so that the players remain match fit and they are anyway just a stone's throw away if needed in case of injury just before the match. There are also 2 other players available (Mishra, Yadav) to serve as substitutes. But, alas, that won't happen.
vvvslaxman Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 why? They deserve to watch Sachin's last Test! :--D Let us make exceptions for this test
