adi B Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 You are comparing Channel 9's sleek coverage to the Star Sports one. But really it is like Gavaskar saying that there is a guard of honor but we can't even see it. absolutely, star sports just wanted to cash in "brand sachin" ,even gave those V-caps to the crowd which had star sports written on it ..feckers didn't show his walk to ground nor the GOH
CG Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I think people need to realise that BCCI is still new to the broadcasting game. It will take them some time to get to the standards of a Sky and a Channel 9 who have been in the game for a long long time. The big advantage for Sky is that they broadcast across sports which mean that they use people and technology from one sport in another. In 1992 when Sky started premier league coverage their quality was **** as well compared to the BBC. Its similar to BT sports which has come in new to the market now. BCCI from what i am aware of is hiring more local Indian camera men and editors compared to previously when there were a large number of foreign camera people. So its good that locals are being used. This has the potential to even impact bollywood and other broadcasting. Dekho its nothing to do withe xperience its attitude that matters. The dumbwits had hawkeye and snicko but after bcci opposed drs they now do not even have mat .Its a kind of information control .But the idiots bcci and their supporters will get it up the ass one day. They are fine example of how not to broadcast with biased commentary to comedy hindi commentary with poor technology .Nothing is gona improve keep dreaming they ****ing control commies views.:haha:
Cricketics Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 I think people need to realise that BCCI is still new to the broadcasting game. . How difficult it is to realize and put a cmera on one person just for 1 minute as he takes his legendary walk. Last I heard, it doesn't require much skills to hold the camera at same position or follow it on one person than changing it among different things in the crowd.
Debutant Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Exactly what I thought when I saw the clip. Punter's was awesome. Everything right from entering the ground to shaking Smith's hand. So clear. Here we were shown a very zoomed out pic of the stands and Sakshi and Nita clapping
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 moving gaurd of honour rocked... un-cordinated... but still rocked :'D
