mastana Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I will be honest. I was missing BossBhai yesterday. Thanks for making this thread.
Chaos Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 lll def. miss him. Started watching cricket because of him and prolly will lose interest with out him. Tears came out as if a family member retired. :(
carnish Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 You should've been there. Unfortunately,I was sitting next the biggest idiots in the stadium. They thought the match, no wait, the series was fixed. Here's how the conversation went. Idiot 1 - Yeh poora series fixed hai re Idiot 2 - haan re, thoda bhi fight nahi hai Idiot 1 - kaise dega fight, west indies ne poora second string team bheja hai toh sachin ko easy sendoff dene. Holy - Excuse me... WHAT? Second string side??? Idiot 1 - Ya dude.. their main players are missing. Holy - What? Who? Idiot 1 - Pollard, Bravo.. etc Idiot 2 - Arre Dwayne smith bhi kidhar hai. Holy - :wall: Lets just watch Sachin bat. Holy (to himself) - Kill me NOW. :hysterical::hysterical::cantstop:
StriKe Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I switched watching from pc live feed to TV so i can hear his speech at full volume..my sister kids started to throw toys at me since i changed their pogo cartoon time but after 15 years i will be there to tell them that i witnessed GOD called SACHIN played cricket and how he made the whole nation to shed tears and all stories :sniffle:

sarcastic Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 in the first days here on ICF, I used to have somewhat of a negative feeling reading your posts, Bossbhai!!! (I mean your strong support for Sachin Tendulkar no matter what) But with time, I realize more and more the truth in a lot you have been saying. In these emotional moments, I feel grateful to have seen a lot of yours... And a fan such as you is indeed well deserved for a person such as SRT!!!
Lurker Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Great player, possibly greatest Indian cricketer ever. (those who know me as a Kapil fan know how tough it is to say/admit). Been following him since the days he hit Kapil Dev inside out over covers for six(only Arvinda De Silva did that to Kapil again). Slaughetered Qadir in Pakistan, and alongside Vengsarkar brough Bombay close to win against Haryana in arguably greatest Ranji Trophy final ever. Outside of his stellar International performance it was his games in Kanga League, Ranji, Irani that showed the pride the maestro in his works. One can question the role Sachin Tendulkar played in taking India to where it is today, but it would be foolish to contend how Indian cricket matured between 1990-2013 and the single thread through this all has been Sachin. Thanks for the service to nation Sachin and good luck. Thanx for the memories.

Lurker Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Who are you and what have you done with Lurker? Right, yeah? lol. How are you Holy baba. Hope life is great in Bombay. thats very high praise indeed coming from you. Kapil deserved a similar swan-song. Alas the times were different. Nah. No praise is big enough for the great man. This is a like a long relationship coming to an end. Some great days, some not so good but still when it ends it leaves you with a sense of sadness/loss rather than relief. How many players can claim that? Oh Bhai' date='kidhar the aap[/quote'] Arre thora kaam mein vyasat hoon Yoda saab. And by Kaam I mean work not hawas waala kaam ;) how are you? That is absolutely true. Me and BB did connect on countless occassions regarding SRT. Too often in opposite camps but we were there nonetheless, all courtsey Sachin of course. Hardly had anything to do with us two really. Good to see u kicking BB. Now who you are gonna support? :((
