rkt.india Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 ^ The serious spinal chord injury aaron had it will be difficult for him to make comeback in tests. Reminds me of ryan harris who plays 2 tests then breaks down though their injuries are different. Aaron shld only be played odi's & t20 for atleast a year' date=' let him recover back fully then can join the test team.[/quote'] No, that is not the case. Many fast bowlers have made successful come back after such injuries in the past. The biggest example is Brett Lee who who suffered back injury even before he had made his test debut and Mitchell Johnson who had 4 back stress injuries by the age of 22. Stress fractures in genuine pacers are a common occurrence worldwide.

Remember jones was a key in eng winning ashes 2005 and harris is still a strike bowler for aussies. 3 times aaron has been sidelined coz of injuries. If he recovers well fine but still circumspect.
vipin Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 What pace is Zaheer bowling in the ongoing Ranji ? If anybody may have seen one of the games on TV ..
adi B Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 In ODIs with BK and Shami. absolutely..aaron looks more suited to odis but he should also be given chances in tests, similarly yadav must also be given a chance to play odis in important series,he is a must in the WC
rkt.india Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 What pace is Zaheer bowling in the ongoing Ranji ? If anybody may have seen one of the games on TV .. around 135.
vishalvirsingh Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 A pacer alrounder' date=' like Rishi Dhawan batting at 7, maybe a good idea.[/quote'] Totally Support Rishi Dhawan - he shud be picked ahead of a jadeja for South Africa as i beleive he is the only medium pace genuine all rounder we have..stuart binny is just too slow... Rishi should play for india as the 5th bowler in a TEST Match in Africa. umesh Bhuvi Shammi ashwin and Rishi as bowlers

King Tendulkar Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Totally Support Rishi Dhawan - he shud be picked ahead of a jadeja for South Africa as i beleive he is the only medium pace genuine all rounder we have..stuart binny is just too slow... Not just cos seam all rounder.

vishalvirsingh Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 around 135. can some body suggest the Pace of Varun in Ranji.. is he touching 140K some times??
King Tendulkar Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 can some body suggest the Pace of Varun in Ranji.. is he touching 140K some times?? Am sure no one knows as their would be no speed guns. All pure guess work
vishalvirsingh Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Thats insane Africans may play 4 Pacers mostly against INDIA and wud Target creating pitches which ahve nothing to do for Spinners....i have seen pitches in africa and england where Jadeja and aswin were treated like DIRT..its hard to beleive but YES both these guys were hit by one and ALL there.
vishalvirsingh Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 You only pick a seam all rounder if he is actualy quality. Not just cos seam all rounder. rishi dhawan bowls upto 133k between 120 to 133k and seems he is taking bag full of wickets in Ranji

Look Ashwin is scoring runs and taking wickets. Number 1 all rounder in the world We have to play one spinner, even saffies will in tahir. Ashwin is easily the best batsman from all the bowlers and proven that can play bowling of international standard In summary to advocate dropping ashwin is insane
King Tendulkar Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 rishi dhawan bowls upto 133k between 120 to 133k and seems he is taking bag full of wickets in Ranji Is he better seamer then any of BK, ZK , Umesh and shami. If answer is no then no place in team
King Tendulkar Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I cant recall seeing rishi dhawan really play. So to be honest cant comment too much But too much of a risk to play an uncapped player in such a test series If he is good, then should be i odis to have a look fiirst
rkt.india Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 A really good alrounder is one who can make the team at least with one department either as a specialist batsman or a specialist bowler. Most alrounders of the past could do that. Imran, Kapil, Botham, Hadlee, Flintoff all could play as specialist bowlers. Sobers and Kallis could play as specialist batsmen. Bits and pieces alrounder do not work in test cricket.
Zanjeer Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 rishi dhawan bowls upto 133k between 120 to 133k and seems he is taking bag full of wickets in Ranji Rishi dhawan is a joke of a bowler like Vinny..
