I was very much looking frwd to seeing his career unfold, was heart broken at the news of his accident. And besides him and the cricketers, I'd list Federer, Nadal, Ronaldinho, Saina, Leander.
kumar713 Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 In Cricket..definitely Dravid..there was a time when I actually was worried of what would happen to Indian batting if Dravid retires...ages ago when Dravid was still far from retirement, Sachin, Ganguly.. Among others..watching Manny Pacquiao fight is like watching Sachin bat..The atmosphere in the arena is just thunderous. Great athlete..very resilient and spirited. I love watching my Kenyan runners in the olympics as well! :two_thumbs_up:

I thought he would certainly get India an Olympic medal ... Started watching hockey again because of him but then tragedy struck again :-( After dhanraj, we never had a good player and even dhanraj had no good support. Started watching hockey again because of him but then tragedy struck again :-( ++ After dhanraj, we never had a good player and even dhanraj had no good support. I just hope raghunath develops to half the dragflicker jugraj was right. as you'd know, the current team has certain other strong players also like sardar singh, rupinder pal, chinglensana, dharamvir singh etc. raghunath is our best drag flicker, he is quite good.
carnish Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 ++ right. as you'd know, the current team has certain other strong players also like sardar singh, rupinder pal, chinglensana, dharamvir singh etc. raghunath is our best drag flicker, he is quite good. Rupinder pal also hits penalty corners, but somehow raghunath seems to be having better technique... I fail to understand how Sandeep Singh was discarded ... I thought he was doing well to be in the squad. Yes, sardar is our best player ATM but had a really poor Asia cup and was not there in Asian CT where we sent the junior team. For India to do well, they really need sardar, raghunath, sunil, and chinglesana to be in form ... Plus we have a decent goalkeeper in sreejesh but I have no idea how good our backup goalie is ... Hopefully some good new guys will come from the junior world cup next month.

Sandeep singh is good only for penalty corners, otherwise is a slow player. The team has got everything, coaches, money and exposure ( HIL has helped a grt deal). Its time they start giving results, lost to S korea in asia cup. Good performance in olympics, world cup etc would be the desired by the fans....
