Do MoM/ MoS awards given in India, ignore all-round efforts?

its like the pecking order in India is batsmen>bowlers>captains>empires>pitch-sweepers>allrounders the recent series against west indies is a fine example, the top 2 performers are Ashwin = 154 runs and 12 wickets Rohit = 288 runs if we take the rough equivalent of 1 wicket as 25 runs on Indian dustbowls, Ashwin has 18 wickets and Rohit has less than 12 wickets. But still Rohit got the MoS even in the ICF Superselector points system, there is a huge difference Top 25 Players R Ashwin 564 Rohit Sharma 382 I felt bad that Ashwin did not get MoS... but everyone was in the euphoria of sachin's farewell and i did not want to post this topic at that point and spoil the mood.

Look at it this way. A batsman has a just 1 chance out there to bat, while bowlers in test cricket have no limit on the number of overs they get to try and take a wicket. No wonder the game favours more and more towards batsman.

Doesn't look like any potential discrimination / bias against bowlers as is being said.

getting MoS is a nice record to have... it shows the player's domination
Yeah but no one gives a **** about it in the end, :cantstop: It's all about runs, averages, wickets and all that.
