Thats why it would have been better to take a opener instead of 3 spinners for a 2 Match test series in sa.

Gambhir is the only opener that crosses my mind. Even Zol but he's way too young and inexperienced.

Decent squads except Lambu selection.No need of 6 seamers in the ODI squad so BK,Shami,Zak,Umesh & Mohit in ODI squad was enough & Pandey in plae of Ishant in the test squad would've been ideal.Shami,BK & Umesh are likely to start in tests & Zak,Pandey as back ups.Pandey did some decent job in the A tour to SA. Still missed out........sad :((

As zak is selected he will start.

Another baffling selection is Raina's inclusion in the ODI squad,Pujara could've been selected as Raina at no.4 will be a sitting duck in SA.

most probably we will play rahane as the 6 th batsman but its such a waste because ashwin seems pretty decent with the bat when we have an allrounder we should make full use of him i hope if at all dhoni plays 5 bowlers - 2 spinners and 3 pacers - it will be ojha and not jadeja because i dont think jadeja will be able to score even 100 runs in 4 innings anyway

Is ZK going as mentor/consultant - or else who is going to be dropped from Test 11 - Bhuvi or Umesh if ZK going to be in the 11? I do like ZK in the 11 (if so decided by MSD) but wonder if Bhuvi or Umesh - who sits out?

Likely outcome of the tour is a 2-1 loss in the ODIs & a 2-0 loss in tests. :((

we also dont know what is the pecking order among the 3 pacers ishanth is only drinks boy, so keeping him aside bk, shami and umesh would be better than bk, shami and zak as we have seen with england in the ashes, trundler armies lack penetration i seriosuly hope ishanth is not in contention

Ya if they continue their poor form in SA then 4th & 5th wickets will be walking wickets against Steyn,Morkel on SA picthes.Worst thing is both will be included in the XI.

:hysterical::hysterical: Bangladesh ke bowling attack se match naahien hai.India is not going to play less than 6 proper batsman + dhoni in sa.Sa are not going to prepare dustbowls.

Very happy to see Zaheer back in tests and Rahane back in ODIs. They should have axed wither one of Yuvi or Raina but that may still happen with Rahane playing in the XI. God knows when we will get rid of Ishant.
