CG Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 He is a seam bowler which in India can be very ineffectice, as need to swing it Overseas bolwers who hit the seam can be useful Not amazing debut but not total rubbish either. At least bowls a lot at 84 mph and is straight and hits seam. Deserves a look in SA In india its the seam bowlers who have had more success.If he had a bit more zip ,height then it would have been helpful.

I guess some people really want Ishant and Vinay back...... He hasn't even played 5-10 games yet. Did people really expect him to suddenly dominate? nobody is expecting him to dominate problem is he has been ****. Constant pace is his only plus

Atleast Vinay is a big mistake in the limited overs format. We have made huge errors in investing so much time with Ishant and Vinay especially after the 2011 WC. The 2015 WC is 1.5 years away and we still cant pin down 5 pacers who we are relatively happy him. If he played in SA then Mohit will have had 5 games on the bounce. Its fair to drop him if he continues like this.

We totally shot ourselves in the foot by picking those two BUMHOLES time and time again. *deepbreaths* I hope we have learned a lesson from that nightmare... Atleast we limited them to 263... Imagine if those two were leading the bowling attack.. even 400 wouldnt be safe.

Selectors need to send strong word for bolwers they need to drop if they dont perform. no sympathy even if playing in india.

Do you remember how he got AB devilliers in the first match? Nobody in our bowling attack could have got his wicket like that. He gives that killer instinct which misses often in our bowling attack.

G_B_ Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 On dhawal kulkarni i know him in close quarters and dhawal is more of a test bowler than ODI or even T20. While i want another mumbaikar to succeed I wont be pinning my hopes on the guy in ODIs. Same with Umesh and limited overs. In tests he is good. Not so sure for ODIs. Aaron is coming back from injury, too early to call. Shami and Bhuvi at the moment look like bowlers who we can invest in.

He is better than mohit Sharma and he has has an excellent seam position. I was really disappointed when he got injured. He is quicker than mohit for sure.
