So Ganguly despite being for 6 years and havling legends at their Prime like Sachin Sehwag Laxman Dravid and Kumble couldnt win a single series outside subcontinent .All these players are shoe in for our All time XI.So much for the outbox thinking. How exactly does imagination matters if u cant win a single series outside subcontinent despite having 5 all time greats? And for the record when it came to Captaincy Ganguly was just as defensive as Dhoni when it came to test cricket.He showed lot more aggression though. Also I an't slating Ganguly captaincy but the hype his captaincy gets is ridiculous.The only time we actually produced consistently quality cricket away from home was under Dravid

If they can not scrap it then may be should look for the ways to improve it by making it more competitive, should be played in home and away basis, should be played for 5 Days, teams should get much bigger points for winning as they are going for too many draws, better pitches and most important better reward for the top performing players. In its current state its just not good and needs lot of improvement.

No doubt we need to improve at lower levels and Ranji cricket but our domestic setup regardless of its fault is as good or just behin the three best, Eng, Aus, SA, yes there is politics and some associations are poor but overall there has been a g8 improvement in last 50 years or so, with age group u19, u16, u22, A teams and CK NAYUDU TROPHY AND ALL, hopefully we will see ex cricketers of repute Sachin, Ganguly and others take an interest in working to nurture talent and improve on our cricket on the whole.
