Shehezaada
thanks guys but within the compilations there are complications. Were all WC games crunch games? no. Maybe we should set boundaries and define what crunch really means Link to comment
The Outsider
Regarding crunch games in WCs, I don't think it's too difficult to define. Basically till the point you have qualified for the next round and all games against Pakistan and Australia are crunch. I am sure 90% would agree on this crunch game definition. Link to comment
The Outsider
Yet again, we can't get past Australia without a significant contribution from Tendulkar. Link to comment
The Outsider
We still can't seem to put one across the Aussies without a Tendulkar contribution, can we? Link to comment
Gambit
After the 91 today and top scoring in all wins over OZ this series, I think this can be finally laid to rest. Link to comment

Anakin
After the 91 today and top scoring in all wins over OZ this series' date=' I think this can be finally laid to rest.[/quote'] Granted he played brilliantly in all the last 3 must win matches. But he failed in other meaningless matches and his age just cancels out all his runs and efforts. In the end he's left with about 4 failures and his old age. Link to comment
cochise
He guided the batting to victory. Old age has experience to come with it. Not to mention his sublime talent. Link to comment
The Outsider
Hari' date=' a challenge for you. Show me any 5 instances of India beating Australia in an ODI without any contribution from Tendulkar whatsoever, since his debut.[/quote'] Will India be able to beat a much weakened Australia now without contributions from Tendulkar? The Outsider
Two years and a bit later, nothing much has changed. An average of 22 from 21 finals! Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
He seriously needs to start contributing in "big" games if India are to win the World Cup. If we are going to depend on SRT himself to win the WC, then we can bid the WC goodbye and start calling SRT a choker (forgetting that the other 5 batsman are our "power hitters" but zilch contributors in big games). achilles
Tendulkar is one. Dravid usually bats his backside off. Link to comment
Gambit
Tendulkar is one. Dravid usually bats his backside off. So what ODI tournaments has Dravid won us? Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Yuvi is just out of form at the moment. He was useless in whole series and so final was not choking just consisitent poor form at the moment! Sad that a so called respected poster has to launch such a vitriol atrtack on such a top performer for India. I mean one poster even has gone so far to think he is the greatest odi batter ever over Tendulkar!:(( I see a common theme of the OP starter in consistent attacks on Yuvraj SINGH and Harbhajan SINGH! Sad that he goes after two outstanding and consistent performers for India over last decade! Link to comment
