Sajid_Rana Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Breaks Saqlain record of most international wickets in a year. :hatsoff:
vvvslaxman Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Breaks Saqlain record of most international wickets in a year. :hatsoff: Why do you guys combine T20/ODI/Test wickets lol. That is not even a stat.
Sajid_Rana Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 Congrats Saeed Ajmal Why do you guys combine T20/ODI/Test wickets lol. That is not even a stat. Combined wickets in all formats of a single player is still a better stat than combined test runs of 3 different players like you do with your fab 3 and comes up with 30k test runs total.
shortbread Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 The fact that someone of his talent receiving such an opportunity so late in his career reflects the sad state of affairs in Pakistan cricket. Any other country would have had him play much earlier and he would have had the records to show for it as well. A small ray of sunshine is an otherwise lost cause!!

JourneyMan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Was anyone even watching the clash between the South Asian minnows? I didn't even know they were playing until I opened cricinfo.
Tailender Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Was anyone even watching the clash between the South Asian minnows? I didn't even know they were playing until I opened cricinfo. I think people were busy watching indian bowlers fail to defend 458 on a landmine of a fifth day pitch
jf1gp_1 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Ajmal is a great bowler, guy may end his career with 200 test wickets which is huge considering he made his debut at 31-32
Sajid_Rana Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 over a career atleast makes sense. for an year? :cantstop: That too T20 wickets where everyone goes for slog and bowlers get free wickets? How about adding runs from their domestic and list A games as well. Throw in their club games runs as well and why stop at 3 players only? More runs more players more sense.

JourneyMan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I think people were busy watching indian bowlers fail to defend 458 on a landmine of a fifth day pitch They defended it :haha: As for it being a landmine..... there goes your credibility. Next.
GoldenSun Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I think people were busy watching indian bowlers fail to defend 458 on a landmine of a fifth day pitch This alone tells me that you didn't even watch the match at all. Nice try bloke ..
SLICKR392 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Isn't this from In Bruges? Yep. Never watch it though.
Tailender Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 If you guys are going to spew rubbish don't expect a good critical analysis in return.
Tailender Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 This alone tells me that you didn't even watch the match at all. Nice try bloke .. There was uneven bounce and unpredictable seam movement. Granted not a "landmine", but definitely not a pitch on which a team chases down 458 either.
JourneyMan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 If you guys are going to spew rubbish don't expect a good critical analysis in return. My expectations from you aren't that high :hysterical: There was uneven bounce and unpredictable seam movement. Granted not a "landmine", but definitely not a pitch on which a team chases down 458 either. They didn't chase it down. Next.
vvvslaxman Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 There was uneven bounce and unpredictable seam movement. Granted not a "landmine"' date=' but definitely not a pitch on which a team chases down 458 either.[/quote'] If you put mind to it you can bat. Quality batsmanship can help you bat in any conditions. SA has such players. Only place where SA would struggle to save a test is where there is a bit of turn. Every other place against any attack they would back themselves to save the test on day 5.
saneindian Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 What record is that? http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=11;template=results;type=bowling;view=year Murali had 136 wickets in 2001, 128 in 2006, Warne had 120 in 1994. Ajmal has 103 s far this year. Even Bhajji had more international wickets in a year than Saqlain
