This is first time that our spinners bowled twice in a match and still couldn't pick a wicket.
Wow, no wicket to spinners despite bowling two innings. All to pacers and run outs. Wow!

and this is probably 3rd most number of overs bowled by Indian spinners without a wicket. Shows how little support Ashwin gave to pacers and Rahane.

I was absolutely aghast at the way Ashwin bowled yesterday. He didn't look like coming close to pick a wicket, not even once. If he can't even pick a single wicket on a 5th day pitch, better for him would be to keep playing for CSK for rest of his life. He is good for nothing. And if everyone forgot, he also dropped a crucial catch in SA's first innings. Both him and Rohit had forgettable outing in this game, as did Dhoni who was quite umimaginative with his captaincy yesterday.

All said and done, even though its SA which choked with victory in sight (for the millionth time), India would look back at this test as the one which they dominated for first 4 days only to let the win slip from them due to incompetence of Ashwin and Zaheer, the latter was also toothless to say the least. They won't get many better chances to win a test (and series) in SA and they fluffed this game just like they did last time around at Cape Town. So thats 2 in 2 tests in SA fluffed by toothless Indian bowlers.

Problem in not only he didn't pick wicket, he didn't look like picking one through out the day. He looked completely innocuous and predictable. On these pitches we need somebody who puts lot of revolutions on ball, not floater kind of spinner as Ashwin.

And for next 2 tests in NZ and for every subsequent tests India is going to play next year.

most painful thing about ditching ashwin is that he is a proper test allrounder. but we need our bowlers to take wickets rather than just chipping in with the last recognized batsman for a 50 run partnership towards the end. ojha is not very penetrative either. he is of the classical bedi mold(though a lot less poetic). more of a boa constrictor than a venom spitting cobra. he could be a better spinner than ashwin in durban though. if dhoni wants to make some aggressive decisions, then he needs to start with removing ashwin for ojha.

Yes i do not rememeber him going past the edge many times if any.Durban has suited off spinners lets see what he does there.
